7 Days Nakuru-Nairobi-Masai Mara-Samburu from £735pp

Day 1 - Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Transfer to your hotel by your driver/Tour guide. Breakfast and the rest of the morning at your own leisure. After lunch visit the Bomas of Kenya. “BOMAS” is a Swahili word which means homesteads. Here you will see the different Bomas from the different tribes of Kenya. You will also be entertained by our traditional dancers as each tribe display their art of music. Dinner and overnight at your city hotel.

Day 2 -Nairobi - Samburu

After breakfast we head to Samburu passing through Thika which is Kenya's largest pineapple producing district. As we approach Nyeri and Meru we will be able to spot the magnificent Mt Kenya Kenya's highest mountain and a good spot for mountain trekking. We stop briefly to take photos. We also go through the equator, again stopping for more photo shoots. Learn the fascinating fact about the equator and be amazed by nature. We proceed towards Samburu and arrive just in time for lunch and a short nap. Our afternoon game drive starts between 3:30pm to 6pm. Dinner and overnight will be at the Samburu Lodge.

Day 3 -Samburu

No need to set your alarm clocks, nature will take care of the time aspect. Wake up to the music of birds calling out early morning. Today will be a full day of game viewing meaning, we take our lunch boxed with us for our picnic in the park. Our long day starts between 8:00 & 8:30am till 6pm when we return to our lodge for dinner and relaxation. Spend the evening  playing board games or watching wildlife documentaries or better still, why don’t you wind down with a Tusker Baridi and lazy the night away.

Day 4-Samburu

Today you walk with nature, after breakfast you are ready to start your nature trail which is conducted by trained KWS ( Kenya Wildlife Service) guards and some Masai warriors. The Masai have been living with wild animals for centuries and know their trends.

Learn about flora and fauna, bird life and wildlife from our naturalist. These walks are conducted in the morning when your energy level is at its best and the weather is cool. This is a 4 hour walk and children under the age of 7yrs are not encouraged to participate because it could prove to be too exhausting for them. Lunch will be at the lodge and there after you can enjoy relaxation at the pool. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure.

Day 5 -Lake Nakuru

After breakfast we leave Samburu for Lake Nakuru the land of birds. Passing through the equator we stop briefly for some photos for those who missed or would like to add to their collection. We arrive at Lake Elementaita Lodge in time for lunch and a quick snooze before doing our afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 6 - Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Our safari today will take us through the spectacular views of the great rift valley, through the vast Masai land and finally to our destination at the David Livingstone Safari Lodge. Our afternoon game drive is between 2pm & 2:30pm. Today we might also be able to visit the Masai village and take part in a traditional dance; the women might also show us how they construct their Manyattas (houses).

Since the lodge is on a private land, night game drives are available at an extra cost but it is worth every dollar. The hippos form a long procession as they go to their feeding grounds. Most of the animals you did not see during the day will be out, like the wild rabbits, mongoose among others. The sight is unbelievable.  Dinner and overnight will be at the David Livingstone Safari Resort.

Day 7 - Masai Mara – Nairobi- Checkout

After our early morning game drive we get ready to check out this being our last day of the safari. Stopping at Narok for some refreshments and souvenirs we arrive at Nairobi late afternoon where you'll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outward international fight home and we bid you KWAHERI.
