4 Days Mt Kenya Climbing Safari - £500pp

The main attraction and landmark of this park is Kenya's highest mountain, Mt Kenya which, sits astride the Equator its icy summit reaching a height of 5199m (17,058 ft). For the sporty tourist it is the best are for mountaineering. Many rivers spring from the perpetual snow caps, among them the mighty River Tana which, is Kenya's largest and longest river and source of much of the country's electric supply.

Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, several species of Antelope including the rare Bongo are some of the wildlife that can be spotted here. It hosts some of the most spectacular golf courses in the world in terms of scenery where you might be joined by an ostrich running across the fairway whilst doing your crucial back swing. Another of natures wonders is the Equator also found in this part of the country. Water drains clockwise on one side and anticlockwise 20 meters away from the equator while on the equator it does not rotate at all. Amazing.

DAY 1 - Nanyuki

Departure from Nairobi is at 0900 hrs(either from hotel or airport) to Nanyuki and stop at the Equator briefly. Continue to Nanyuki where you check in your hotel. Afternoon is spend preparing for the hike.A COMPLIMENTARY walking tour to the EQUATOR. Dinner and overnight at the Nanyuki simbas lodge.

DAY 2 - Old Moses

After breakfast transfer to Sirimon gate and hike to Old Moses camp for overnight (3300m), 3 to 4 hrs hikes (9kms). Old Moses is where you acclimatize as you also come across different vegetation.

DAY 3 - Makinders Valley

After breakfast Hike to Shipton's camp (4200m )through Liki and Makinders valley for overnight (6 to 8 hrs hikes) 17 kms.

DAY 4 - Judmair Camp

Attempt point Lenana (4985m) at 0300 hrs and descend directly to Old Moses (Judmair) Camp for overnight

DAY 5 - Sirimon

After breakfast descend to Sirimon Park Gate to catch your vehicle to your next destination
Option Dinner at Carnivore for Game meat at 45 USD per person
